The RIDEX Drive shaft coupler (1427J0049) is an original-equipment-quality flexible propshaft disc—commonly known as a Giubo or flex joint—manufactured by RIDEX. Positioned along the longitudinal drivetrain between the transmission output flange and the main propshaft (or at the rear differential input), its primary function is to smoothly transmit engine torque to the drive wheels. This flexible elastomer disc dampens torsional vibrations, accommodates minor axial misalignment, and absorbs driveline shocks to ensure silent and smooth operation.
