The STARK Distributor rotor arm (SKROD-1790010) is an original-equipment-quality ignition timing component manufactured by STARK. Positioned directly inside the distributor assembly atop the spinning primary shaft, its function is to deliver high-voltage current to individual combustion cylinders. As the engine cycles, the engine's camshaft spins this rotor arm. The high-tension electricity from the ignition coil flows into the center contact pad, across the integrated interference-suppression resistor, and jumps from the outer metal trailing edge to the distributor cap terminals in the exact firing sequence. Over time, spark arcing causes the metal tip to erode and pit, creating excessive electrical resistance that manifests as engine stumbles, hard starting, and unburnt fuel emissions.
