The TOPRAN Selector / Shift Rod (102 643) is an original-equipment-quality gear linkage component engineered by TOPRAN. Installed directly within the mechanical shifting assembly in the engine compartment, this rod acts as a secondary selector link that translates lateral and vertical physical stick movements from the driver into precise shift gate positioning inside the gearbox. When factory linkages age, their soft plastic socket caps dry out, fracture, and create severe loose play at the shifter. Replacing this rod eliminates annoying "slop" and restores a reassuringly tight, positive feel to manual gear selection.
