The ELRING Shaft Seal, manual transmission (758.876) is an original-equipment-quality radial oil seal manufactured by ELRING. Fitted where the selector shaft enters the transmission casing, its primary function is to prevent manual transmission fluid from weeping or pouring out of the gearbox housing. By utilizing a highly flexible elastomeric sealing lip with an integrated garter tension spring, it maintains a fluid-tight dynamic interface against the shifting rod during gear changes, keeping gears lubricated and preventing oil contamination.
