The METZGER Brake shoe fitting kit (105-0599) is a high-precision rear drum brake hardware kit manufactured by METZGER. This hardware overhaul set includes replacement structural tension springs, shoe retaining pins, and steady clips engineered strictly for standard 178 mm / 180 mm drum dimensions. Its primary design function is to maintain correct mechanical pre-tension on the rear brake shoes, ensuring stable retraction away from the drum friction profile upon the release of hydraulic pressure to completely avoid shoe drag, premature lining wear, and unwanted thermal build-up.
